Getting Started

Once you have purchased the ShareThis for Magento widget, follow the steps below to complete the installation;

• Download the ShareThis widget. Check your email for the download link,
• Navigate to the root directory of your Magento installation,
• Extract the contents of the ShareThis widget zip file straight over your root directory (don't forget to back up your site first).

And that's it. Clean the Magento cache if your ShareThis widget doesn't show up in your widget list.

Configuring your ShareThis widget

• Navigate to CMS->Widgets in your administration control panel,
• Click on the Add New Widget Instance button,
• Select "ShareThis" for the type and default/default for the design package/theme,
• Specify a title for your ShareThis widget as well as the sort order,
• Click on "Add Layout Update" to specify when and where your ShareThis button should be displayed,
• Click on the "Widget Options" tab to further customize your ShareThis button.
